Do yourself a favor and take a trip to the Drag to try gourmet ice cream sandwiches from Moojo. This adorable shop located right next to campus is churning out creamy, delicious, all-natural ice cream sandwiched between warm, gooey cookies.

The shop itself is bright and colorful, and what better way to enjoy your afternoon treat than by sitting on swings instead of regular chairs? The husband and wife owners of this ice cream shop really nailed it when it came to cute, charming decor.

Take a seat at the swings lining the right wall of this adorable shop

Then make your way to the line where you can sample their inventive ice cream flavors and try to narrow down all your choices. The menu includes several suggested combos. I tried the Snickerdoodle-Moo: salted caramel pretzel ice cream between snickerdoodle cookies. (I told you it was unique!)

Warm Snickerdoodle-Moo is a recommended combo!

You also have the option to build your own. Start by selecting your cookie, with flavors like Chocolate Chip, Peanut Butter, Oatmeal Raisin or White Chocolate Macadamia. Then, select from over a dozen ice cream flavors with classics like vanilla, chocolate, cookies and cream or coffee chip. They also offer vegan and gluten free options. We built our own using the chocolate chunk cookies and coffee chip ice cream.

Build your own sidekick-size ice cream sandwich

Once you make your selections, you have the option to choose which size sandwich you’d like. We found the “sidekick” size to be plenty and a great deal for only $3.19. You can also add toppings or choose other sandwich options like Belgian waffles or brownies. You even get to decide whether you’d like your cookies warmed or room temperature!

We opted for warm cookies - check out the ooey goodness!

I’m disappointed I waited till the end of summer to try Moojo, but I definitely plan to return while the weather is still warm. The treats are delicious, the ambiance is adorable, and the staff is extra friendly - a winning combo in my book!
