With a beautiful patio, waterfront dining, and booze, it's amazing that Alta's Cafe has somehow flown under the radar. I visited on a gorgeous day last weekend and was shocked to find that it wasn't packed. Well, this post is us letting the cat out of the bag: Alta's Cafe is awesome

View from Alta's Cafe - See the dock where you can rent canoes, kayaks, and paddleboards!

Located downtown at the Waller Creek Boathouse (right near the Four Seasons), Alta's Cafe looks over Ladybird Lake and is also just a few steps from kayak/canoe/paddleboard rentals. That means you can stop in at Alta's, grab a smoothie or quiche, and head right out onto the water! If watersports aren't your thing, just hang out on the patio and enjoy a cappucino, wine, or beer. Alta's Cafe also serves sandwiches, salads, and really delicious (and generous) cheese and charcuterie boards.

In true Austin form, Alta's supports local businesses like Handsome Coffee, Henri's Cheese, Easy Tiger Bakery, People's RX Kitchen, Margarita's Tortillas, Richardson Farms, Coyote Creek Farm, and Cuvee Coffee.
