Award-Winning Migas at Veracruz All Natural

I can't believe it's taken me this long to visit Veracruz All Natural. Truth be told, I've never been much of a migas girl, but when I read that the Food Network rated theirs as one of the top 5 tacos in America, I had to give it a try. And believe me, I've been converted.

Veracruz started out as a small trailer selling simple smoothies and snow cones, but after venturing into the food realm, they haven't looked back. The owners, sisters who grew up in Veracruz, Mexico, have mastered the art of the taco and torta and have been featured by Rachael Ray and Rolling Stone, among others.

Our order started out with the clear choice of migas, made with eggs, tortilla chips, avocado, pico de gallo, and monterey jack cheese. The tortilla chips really make it a next-level taco, and even the tortilla was perfection. They also offer a poblano version with peppers, red onions, black beans, and queso fresco that I plan to try next time.

These are the award-winning and, dare I say, life-changing Migas Tacos.

Our next favorites were the Al Pastor Tacos -- pork marinated in pineapple juice and chile guajillo, with onions, queso fresco and avocado, along with The Vegetarian -- a colorful blend of spinach, avocado, carrots, mushrooms, red bell pepper, pico and queso fresco. Though nothing compares to my new love of the Migas Taco, I would still heartily recommend both of these options.

Our final choice was the Chicken Mole Taco, which had just the right kick, but the only complaint was the mess factor! I would also recommend trying both the flour and corn tortillas for your order.

Messy but yummy Chicken Mole Taco

Veracruz now has multiple locations - East Cesar Chavez, Round Rock, and two trailers outside of Radio Coffee and Beerwhere I visited. I already love the vibe at Radio, and the killer tacos on site don't hurt either. The tacos are made to order, so you can expect to wait a bit, but luckily Radio has two trailers from which to order.

Order from one of two trailers outside Radio, or hit up the East/Round Rock locations!

I wish I had saved the migas for my last bite bite because it was the obvious winner among all our choices, but everything was absolutely delicious. Complete with a latte, it was a breakfast I'd like to have on repeat!
