South Austinites can now get their hangover fix at Biscuits + Groovy's new location in the Native South Food Park. Whether you're recovering from a rough night or just feel like indulging, the menu at Biscuits + Groovy offers plenty of hearty options.

Most of the menu choices include three freshly baked buttermilk biscuits topped with white pepper gravy. Many also include eggs, sausage, and/or bacon. Our first choice was the Aretha Franklin; three biscuits topped with white pepper gravy and both crumbled sausage and bacon, along with colby jack cheese and chives. This hefty portion is not for the faint of heart, but I'd be lying if I said we didn't finish it all.

For our other dish, we selected the M.C. Hammer. This was just a single biscuit topped with scrambled eggs and gravy, along with a choice of bacon or sausage. I highly recommend the sausage patty! At less than half the cost of the Aretha Franklin, this is a great option to sample the menu offerings and still enjoy a truly hearty meal. As an added bonus, everything on the menu can be made vegan or vegetarian too.

If you don't want something quite as heavy, try the Bee Gee - a buttermilk biscuit topped with jam for only $1. You can also purchase their homemade jams, including pomegranate port wine, bourbon peach, carrot cake, or bananas foster.

This quiet trailer park is the perfect way to start off your weekend morning. Get comfy at shady tables or around the fire pit while you wait for your fluffy buttermilk biscuits to arrive.
