Texas French Bread has been serving freshly baked and cooked sweet treats and savory foods since 1981, including freshly-baked artisan breads, pastries, and desserts from scratch. They also serve homemade sandwiches, soups, salads, deliver box-lunches, brew first rate locally roasted coffees, and operate a dinner service at the Rio Grande & 29th St. cafe.

They serve dinner on Tuesday through Saturday evenings, beginning at 5:30pm. The casual bistro menu combines many of the owners' deepest culinary interests – specifically, the techniques of traditional French country and Mediterranean cooking, and seeking out the local, the fresh, the simple, the nutritious, and the beautiful, and to serve these in season at their peak.

Their weekend brunch runs Sunday from 8am-3pm, and the menu has something for everyone! We went in this Sunday and had no problem scooping up a table for 4. Our waiter was young, cute, and super friendly! He couldn't have been more attentive, and we loved the service. We ordered lattes and the Granola, Yogurt, and Fresh Fruit for the table- easy for a bunch of people to share. A healthy option for brunch is the Spinach and Chevre Omlette served with potatoes. The restaurant didn't skimp on the creamy chevre, and the spinach packed a great vegetable punch. The Breakfast Tostadas were also a hit with our group- crispy tostadas are served with cheese, over easy eggs, beans, a ranchero salsa, and avocado. If you're looking to satisfy your sweet tooth, try the Grand Marnier French Toast! After all, it's never a bad idea to order a bread-based dish from Texas French Bread!

Everything was delicious, the atmosphere was bright but relaxing, and the service was great. We'll definitely be back, and this is now one of our top brunch spots!

Texas French Bread also offers a fabulous lunch menu, and the dinner service is reportedly amazing! We'll post soon with more deets on dinner, because we've been dying to check it out ourselves!
