As part of its Guest Chef Series, Austin’s Josephine House will welcome Chef and Owner Maiya Keck of Maiya’s Restaurant located in Marfa, Texas. The one-night dining event will feature Keck’s four-course menu including an appetizer, salad, entree, and dessert. The dinner is $55 per person with wine pairings offered for an additional $25.

Next week’s dinner is the fourth in the Josephine House Guest Chef Series, a recurring event that highlights culinary talent in Texas while showcasing the restaurant’s unique and intimate space. The most recent installments featured Chef Steven Dilley of Bufalina and Ramen Tatsu-Ya Head Chef Takuya “Tako” Matsumoto.

As the sister restaurant to Austin’s fine dining institution Jeffrey’s, Josephine House offers lunch, brunch, happy hour, and dinner in an intimate Clarksville cottage featuring a coffee and cocktail bar, comfortable dining room, shady patio, and grassy front lawn.

Maiya Keck, chef and owner of Maiya’s Restaurant and The Get Go grocery store in Marfa, began her culinary career after graduating from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1992. Keck’s restaurant experience includes Bluepoint Oyster Bar and Al Forno, where she had the privilege of working with Maureen Pothier, Johanne Killeen and George Germon. In 2002, Maiya opened her namesake bistro in Marfa known for its seasonal, Italian-influenced dishes, excellent wine, and delicious cocktails.

The dinner will be a reunion of sorts as Executive Chef Alex Manley of Josephine House previously worked at Maiya’s Restaurant before joining McGuire Moorman Hospitality in 2008.
