Swift’s Attic, a hidden gem of a restaurant, which was recently featured on the Bravo TV show Best New Restaurant, has been a favorite of Austinites for a while and it’s great to see it getting so much attention now. Due to it’s central downtown location, it’s the perfect place to get that mission critical dinner before a late night out on the town and I now know it’s equally as perfect to visit for a celebratory brunch with a large group. The restaurant is mostly known for it’s shareable small plate dining, however, their brunch is a bit of a departure from that, which is why I was very excited to give it a try.

The food isn't the only thing to look at here - the interior of the restaurant is also a sight to see

Their brunch menu, which changes weekly, is full of inventive and exciting dishes that everyone will want to try. While the plates aren’t necessarily set-up to share, it’s certainly easy to allow for a group taste test. If you’ll even want to let any of your delicious dish go, that is!

While dining at Swift’s Attic yesterday, we tried an array of entrees all while sipping on $1 mimosas. The standouts on the menu were The Swiftine and the TCB. The Swiftine is a layered mixture of goodness with french fries covering the bottom of the dish, then cheese curds, red-eye gravy, pork cheeks and then topped off with a poached egg. The TCB is a sweet dish of brioche french toast, peanut butter, house cured bacon, salted caramel and bananas. One word to describe them both: wow!

Biscuits with berry jam as an appetizer - $6

The Turkey Hash - $12

The Dickle Pickle Chicken Wiffel - quirky name for fried chicken and waffles - $14

While it may not look very appetizing, I can assure you that The Swiftine is absolutely delicious - $18

The TCB - a tasty take on french toast - $12

Head on over to Swift’s Attic this weekend to check it out. I know I sure regret not going earlier! My only disappointment is that I was too full to enjoy my favorite dessert, the Popcorn and a Movie so be sure to save room for that.
