Kid-Friendly Favorites

I spend my weekends searching for places where I can do what I love (eat delicious food and sip delicious drinks), but as my son grows, I want to make sure he gets to do what he loves too - play! Here are some of my favorite spots for where to eat and drink like an adult while keeping your kiddos entertained.

You may not think a coffee house is a natural spot for a child, but we love going out in the morning as a family and coffee is a must. Stouthaus Coffee actually has a dedicated area towards the front with crayons and small toys. Baguette et Chocolat not only has wonderful crepes and pastries, but they also have a small kids table with children's programming playing on a tv. Talk about a nice morning break!

We love that Stouthaus has crayons and toys to keep our little one busy while we enjoy delicious coffee

If outdoors is your preference, enjoy these beautiful fall mornings with a trip to Mozart's Coffee Roasters. The outdoor deck setting is perfect for exploring, and chances are there will be tons of dogs in tow, plenty of birds up in the trees, and turtles and fish in the lake.  While we're on the subject of animals, Yard Bar is another fun option where kids can watch puppies run around while you enjoy your meal.

For more energetic kiddos, head southwest to one of my favorites, Stubb's Graceland. You'll find sports on the tv, drinks at the bar, two full playgrounds, plenty of shade, and even a volleyball court that can double as a sand pit. The Rusty Mule, food trailer park + playground, is also just down the road.

Stubb's has one of the best playgrounds around and great food and drinks for the parents

Another one of our favorites is Lucy's on the Lake. Not only does the location have beautiful water views that are kid and adult approved, but they also have a great play area for kids. Kid-friendly food, interesting cocktails, outdoor space and live music make for a happy family!

We are always on the lookout for great kid friendly hangouts and will travel near and far. What are some of your favorites?
