Odd Duck: Austin's Newest Hot Spot

Odd Duck is Austin's newest hotspot. The former trailer went brick-and-mortar on South Lamar, and it's been packed to the gills since opening recently. Much of their menu is sourced locally, and the menu changes often. The majority of the menu is made up of small plates, ideal for sharing. The ultra-creative menu showcases really unique pairings of flavors, like carrots roasted in hay, boudin grits with pickled shrimp, and broccoli with soft scrambled eggs.

After ordering almost the entire menu, I can report that my very favorite dishes included the Parker House Rolls, the Charred Broccoli, the Chicken Fried Chicken Egg, the Grilled Cow Tongue, and the Spiced Redfish (the only one not pictured above). No need to worry if you're gluten free- they'll give you a menu of choices.

The cocktails at Odd Duck, like the food, are really unique. The Rock Dog features grapefruit fizz, tequila, and smoke. The Coffee Drank, perfect for a post-meal bevvie, features whiskey, cocoa whip cream, and orange. A full wine list is also available, as well as a great selection of beer.

Patio seating is available, as is valet.
