The specials are available Monday-Saturday from 3:00p.m. – 7:00p.m. and all day Sunday. What makes BarChi really unique is that they also offer a reverse happy hour from 10:00p.m. – 1:00a.m. on Fridays & Saturdays. Whether you’re craving sushi early in the evening or later in the evening, you’ll always be able to get a great deal.
BarChi Happy Hour menu - fantastic specials
The BarChi menu offers a variety of drinks, including a $2.00 sake bomb and $5.00 bloody sake Mary. I took the safe route and opted for a Kirin Light to start the evening off. We ordered the gyoza as an appetizer, which was served with pickled cucumbers and radishes. The pickled vegetables were a delicious added crunch to the pork gyoza starter.

The waitress recommended that we try the pepper tuna sushi, and we were not disappointed. The smoky pepper taste paired excellently with the raw tuna. We actually ordered another round of this.

We finished out our happy hour with three different maki rolls. We ordered the spicy tuna crunch roll, yellowtail and scallion roll and the Austin roll. The Austin roll was made with tuna, salmon, white fish, avocado, spicy mayo and masago. It was delectable and such a deal for only $7.50!

BarChi is the perfect place to start your evening off, and I look forward to going back and trying the traditional Japanese comfort foods offered. Next time you find yourself downtown and craving sushi, pop into BarChi and grab a roll or two!
