I came across this trailer after seeing it on a foodie Instagram account, and I knew I had to get my hands on these delicious looking treats ASAP. Located just east of I-35, Churro Co. is a food truck offering churros like none you’ve ever had before.

The owners of the Churro Co. Trailer had long dreamed of opening some kind of eatery, and when they decided their focus would be on churros, they knew Austin was just quirky enough to make it work. We visited the trailer on a hot day, but the park has plenty of shade and nice picnic tables to enjoy your afternoon treat.

You can of course stick with a traditional churro tossed in cinnamon sugar, with your choice of chocolate, Mexican caramel or Nutella dipping sauce. However, we couldn’t resist some of the unique combinations offered. On our visit we selected the Rico Suave, tossed in cacao sugar and topped with Nutella, strawberry jam and coconut shavings.  We loved the combination of fresh fruit flavor and cinnamon sugar.

Next, we tried the Campfire, which is arguably their most popular offering. These special churros are tossed in graham cracker sugar and topped with Mexican chocolate, whipped cream and toasted marshmallows. Besides being delicious, the presentation is really fun.

At $4.50 each for a generous portion, this is the perfect treat after a light meal. For some extra decadence, you can also add a scoop of vanilla ice cream for $1.

Churro Co. might just be my new favorite indulgence in all of Austin, and luckily there are still several mouth-watering flavors left for me to try. Check it out today!
