The beautiful downtown hotel, The Joule, has welcomed its newest hot spot, Americano. You know and love CBD Provisions and Midnight Rambler, and Americano is just the right addition. Americano focuses on serving contemporary Italian in a buzzy and hip atmosphere. Vibrant greens and reds, potted greenery, and lively vibes make for a casual and fun atmosphere. Offering dining room, bar, and patio seating, there's a table fit for any party big or small.

Who is ready to eat?!

What's an Italian restaurant without a great selection of wine? Americano's wine list offers nicely priced glasses, half bottles and bottles of delicious reds, whites, and sparkling. If you prefer a beer, you can't go wrong with one of their (very tall) draft beers. Cocktails fall more on the classic Italian side, featuring the Americano in three different styles. They also have cocktails on tap! The Little Italy is a rye whiskey based beverage, and the Neroli Negroni consists of gin and other Italian spirits.

Shaved Cauliflower Salad

With so many options, you could opt out of an entree and just nosh on starters. Several cured meat and cheese options, a long list of small plates, and fresh salads can make for a satsifying meal. We tried the Cheeseboard, Jewish Style Artichokes, Tuna Crudo and Shaved Cauliflower Salad. The Cheese Board was fantastic with a selection of cheeses, marinated olives, fresh grapes, crisp crackers and preserves. The Jewish Style Artichokes were small in size but mighty in flavor and sat on top of a delicious roasted garlic and lemon aioli. The Tuna Crudo was simple, fresh and outstanding. Last but not least, the Cauliflower Salad was shaved down and tossed with pistachios, golden raisins, lemon and olive oil, creating a light and crisp dish.

Calabrian Chili Sausage Pizza

Linguine with Rock Shrimp Scampi

Ordering a pizza and one of the housemade pasta dishes was a must. The decision was difficult, but we decided on the Calabrian Chili Sausage and the Linguine Rock Shrimp Scampi. The pizza arrived hot, crisp and thin. Topped with Calabrian chili sausage, broccoli rabe, San Marazano tomatoes and pecorino, it is safe to say this pizza was devoured.

We were sold at house-made pasta, and this linguine with rock shrimp scampi, garlic, white wine, and a plethora of herbs did not disappoint. The linguine was phenomenal, and the small rock shrimp were perfectly tossed in a garlic sauce (so good that we used our pizza crust to soak up all the leftovers). The housemade pasta dishes are small in size, so consider upgrading to an entree sized portion if you're extra hungry.

Warm Peach Crostata with Vanilla Ice Cream

After a large Italian meal, it's tough to think dessert, but we highly suggest at least ordering one for the table. We tried the Peach Crostata: sweet peaches stuffed inside a perfectly browned pastry and topped with vanilla ice cream. It was definitely worth the indulgence.

Don't miss the perfect photo op with their neon sign.

Since Americano is located downtown, save yourself the headache of street parking and choose the complimentary Joule valet. Just be sure to have the hostess validate your ticket. Overall, we were quite impressed with Americano, especially since it's only been open for a short few weeks. With excellent customer service, amazing plates and a phenomenal menu, we can't wait to make our next trip to Americano.
