Inspired by Mississippi Delta cuisine, Sissy’s in the Knox/Henderson neighborhood is the ultimate go-to for indulging in fried chicken. Their chicken is brined and pressure-fried to give you a delicious crunch on the outside and juicy chicken on the inside. Order pieces a la carte, a 2-piece dinner that includes their famous mashed potatoes, or upgrade to a bucket of their chicken to share with friends. BB Bop Seoul Kitchen

Who said fried chicken had to be a Southern thing? At BB Bop Seoul Kitchen in Oak Cliff (also located in Upper Greenville and Lower Greenville and more recently opened Chicken Moto in Richardson), they’re putting a Korean twist on the beloved fried chicken dish. Voted as some of the best fried chicken in Dallas, their “Not Your Mama’s Fried Chicken” is definitely a must-try. Their chicken is coated in a special batter, fried, and then lightly glazed in your choice of sauce. With their combination of comfort food and Korean flavors, this sits at the top of the bucket list for fried chickens to try in the city.

Fat Chicken in Trinity Groves is the latest spot to join the chicken market in Dallas. While some restaurants have only a few chicken dishes, variety gets the spotlight here. From tacos and pot pies to sandwiches and salads, just about everything has their delicious and juicy chicken inside. If you’re in it just for the fried chicken, opt for their bucket of chicken that includes their buttermilk biscuits and coleslaw. If you’re looking to step outside the box, then their fried chicken served with donuts is the move for you.
