Whether you're visiting for a quick work lunch or a dinner with friends, Haystack Burgers and Barley delivers deliciously crafted burgers, sandwiches and salads. This Richardson staple has a laid back atmosphere with an order-at-the-counter process, simple yet rustic decor and friendly service.

Haystack Burger

For those not watching their girlish figure, we highly suggest going all in and ordering a burger. We tried the Haystack Burger topped with cheddar cheese, apple wood smoked bacon, bar-b-q sauce, lettuce, tomato, pickles and haystack onions (deliciously fried onion strings). This burger exceeded expectations and left us with pleased bellies. The Down on the Farm and El Tres burgers also sounded particularly awesome. If nothing jumps out at you, take the burger into your own hands and create your own!

Patty Melt

The old fashioned Patty Melt is a great way to venture away from the traditional burger. A hamburger patty topped with cheddar cheese, swiss cheese, sauteed onions and chipotle mayo is grilled to perfection between two pieces of whole wheat toast to create this tasty alternative.

Speaking of alternatives, Haystack offers many delicious sandwiches sans the red meat. Check out Cubby's Chicken Sandwich, Lindsey's Hay Club or the Hay Dawg. Don't forget to add a side of Haystack onions, fresh cut Kennebek fries or fried pickles!

Portabella Salad

A burger joint that makes a mean salad receives two thumbs up. We tried the Portabella Salad; greens topped with delicious and flavorful grilled portabellas, gorgonzola, onions, tomatoes and balsamic vinaigrette. Made with fresh ingredients, the grilled portabellas were phenomenal. You also can't go wrong with their Haystack Salad.

Whether you're looking for a craft beer or a signature cocktail, Haystack offers both. The beer menu has draft and bottle selections from local brewers such as Lakewood, Revolver and more. The signature Haymaker cocktail is the real winner; a frozen mixture of Maker's Mark, orange juice, lemonade, and Haystack's blended tea.

During your next trip to Richardson, we highly suggest stopping by for a bite at the family owned Haystack Burgers and Barley. With delicious food, friendly service, and their signature Haymaker, we're sure they'll make your list of go-to DFW burger joints!
