DISH Dishes Out Tasty Fare at Second Location

DISH Preston Hollow, with its fresh, simple New American menu and clean, open interior, is a restaurant you can easily make a family staple. DISH first opened its doors at its location on Cedar Springs, and this second location is a welcome addition to the Preston Hollow neighborhood, on the edge of the Park Cities.

Don't let the physical location of DISH Preston Hollow fool you, however. It is in a sometimes forgotten strip of businesses on Hillcrest, around the corner from the 7-Eleven gas station. The valet parking out front is a better indicator of the interior, which consists of one long room, divided into two main sections, one of which extends onto a nice, large enclosed patio. The simple and modern design sets the stage for a comfortable meal.

The true highlight of DISH Preston Hollow is the food. Everything on the menu enticed us, and we were pleased with every single bite we took.

Ham & Cheese Flatbread

Try the Ham & Cheese Flatbread for the table to share. Perfectly cooked pizza dough is topped with crispy, salty prosciutto, brie, and a fig balsamic reduction. The brie cheese is gooey and pairs perfectly with the sweet and acidic reduction.

Roasted Wild King Salmon

For your entree, we recommend the Roasted Wild King Salmon, cooked to perfection with an incredibly crispy exterior and a juicy interior that melts in your mouth. It was paired with velvety sweet potatoes, an unusual match that we had never tried before but one we will remember. An avocado lump-crab relish adorned the fish along with a jalapeno buerre blanc.

Butcher's Cut Steak Frites

Another great entree is the Butcher's Cut Steak Frites. A grilled prime hanger steak is set atop a wine herb demi-glace that tasted similar to a homemade ketchup. Thin fries were served on the side.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Trifle

Don't leave without getting dessert! The Chocolate Peanut Butter Trifle was decadent but not overly sweet. Beautiful slices of chocolate devil's food cake are layered with peanut butter mousse and topped with crispy chocolate morsels. We only wish there had been a stronger peanut butter flavor.

If you have not tried DISH Preston Hollow yet, we highly recommend you do. They have Happy Hour daily with great priced drinks and snacks, and they are open seven days a week for lunch and dinner.
