Located between Uptown and Henderson but slightly off the beaten path, E Bar offers all of the delicious classic Tex-Mex staples but with a few unique surprises guaranteed to thrill. While the atmosphere is neither trendy nor divey, the establishment feels comfortable yet lively.

E Bar offers indoor and covered patio seating as well as a full bar.

With the complementary chips and salsa, the meal already starts off on a high note. The chips are warm and perfectly crispy, and the salsa is oh so fresh with a mild kick.

Chips, salsa and a margarita? Snack time in Texas.

Want to take it up a notch? Try the E Bar Queso for a little something extra. The spicy cheese dip is topped with guacamole, taco meat and sour cream - these blend together nicely for a smooth dip that is packed with flavor.

On a quest to find the best queso in town? Be sure E Bar is on your list.

E Bar fittingly offers a full bar but, perhaps unsurprisingly, the margarita is the star. Frozen or on the rocks, the margarita isn’t overly sweet but is expertly mixed in this tasty Tex-Mex go-to (and maybe even packs a bit of a punch.)

You could easily find many of the food items on menus around Dallas, but few could match E Bar’s ability to deliver hits every time. For a little something out of the box, try the Camarones Beto; 6 shrimp in a spicy mustard cream sauce, served with mixed veggies, cilantro lime white rice, black beans and flour or corn tortillas. The shrimp are big and juicy, but the mustard cream sauce will be the reason you order this dish again. The mustard flavor is mild while the spice doesn’t over power. These flavors combine to make this a home run. Bonus: You can use the sauce to add to the rice, beans and/or the veggies, but all of the sides are worthy of their praise in their own right.

Camarones Beto: A flavorsome pick when you want a taco alternative.

If you’re looking for a Tex-Mex standard, the fajitas are seasoned to perfection and consistently tender throughout, and rumor has it the Tres Leches Cake will keep you smiling long after you’ve finished your meal.

Be sure to arrive early for dinner as there can be a bit of a wait starting around 7 pm, but the staff is always quick to get your table prepped and ready. The parking situation is tight, but there is an extra lot across Haskell if the main one fills up.
