Among the many casual eateries and bars off Mckinney Avenue, Eastwood's Bar stands out. Their porch-style patio and living room interior offers the perfect spot for happy hour, brunch or catching the big game. With a plethora of patio seating, it's also pet-friendly - making it a great stop for dog owners in Uptown. Eastwood's Bar is a go-to for social dining and drinking, and we couldn't get enough after our happy hour visit.

The Violet Ice is as refreshing as it looks.

The New Dallas Sour is a stand-out at Eastwood's Bar.

Drinks are served just how you'd like them at Eastwood's, where they pride themselves on their approachable craft cocktail menu that has something fit for everyone. During our visit, we tried three of their signature drinks - the Violet Ice, Passionate Dallasite, and the New Dallas Sour. We were sold just with their creative names. The Violet Ice is your ultimate refreshing cocktail; vodka, lemon juice, lavender bitters, sparkling wine and Creme de Violette was shaken and served on the rocks. Light, refreshing and perfect for the patio. Another option on the sweeter side was the Passionate Dallasite; featuring vodka, housemade passion fruit syrup, lemon juice, and orange juice shaken and served pretty with an umbrella. Our favorite of the night? The New Dallas Sour. This bourbon-based drink will please even the most hesitant of non-bourbon drinkers. Bourbon, lemon juice, and a red wine float are all that make up this simple yet fantastic cocktail. Stop by Monday through Friday from 4-8 for happy hour specials featuring boilermakers, wine by the glass and a few signature cocktails on special.

The Hot Kisses combine shrimp, bacon, cream cheese and jalapeno all in one tasty bite.

Eastwood's serves elevated bar food perfect for splitting with friends, grabbing a quick bite or indulging in something that's probably not on your diet. Our group decided to split a few items off their menu to share among the table, letting us taste a little bit of everything. For starters, the Tot-chos and Hot Kisses are too fantastic to skip. The Tot-chos are Eastwood's take on classic tater tots; parmesan and truffle tots, drizzled pimento cheese queso, pico de gallo, avocado and not one, but two fried eggs. Break the eggs and indulge in this tater tot masterpiece. The Hot Kisses are also another classic that are divine. Five bacon wrapped shrimp with cream cheese and jalapeno all grilled and seared.

Don't overlook The Vegetarian Hummus Wrap.

Looking for something a little on the lighter side? The Vegetarian Hummus Wrap is an excellent choice, brimming with creamy hummus and tons of fresh veggies. They also have several salads that look too good to be healthy!

The Wings go perfectly with a beer and a football game.

If you're looking to indulge in something, we suggest the Wings - either hot, BBQ or lemon pepper - these can't be beaten. Served with ranch or bleu cheese dressing, we think these go great with Sunday football and a boilermaker. Other indulgent items include the Gouda Mac n Cheese, Eastwood's Burger and the Chicken and Waffles.

Eastwood's Bar is the cozy spot we've been looking for in Uptown. Whether you're stopping by for happy hour, dinner, a football game or even their weekend brunch (featuring $12 Mimosa bottle service on Sunday!) Eastwood's Bar will not disappoint.
