If you’ve never been to Nova, make sure it’s your next stop when in or around the Bishop Arts District. This retro, stylish hotspot has everything you want out of a charming North Oak Cliff joint: chef-crafted dishes, original cocktails and an extensive beer list in a trendy but casual diner. Bonus: If you’re seeing a concert at the Kessler Theater, you’re in luck: This hip gem is blocks away and opens for dinner at 5 pm, serving food until midnight.

Get a touch of spice and a ton of flavor in Nova's expertly crafted Bloody Mary.

Nova's famous Rosemary Crush mixes Absolut pear with fresh rosemary, lemon and cranberry, a refreshing cocktail for anytime of day.

We love dinner at Nova, and we’re big fans of their brunch as well. Opening at 11 am and serving until 3 pm, brunch consists of Nova staples (small plates, pizzas) and adds some daytime treats like sandwiches, chicken and waffles, chilaquiles, french toast casserole and so much more. We tried a little bit of each: the Texas size BLT, the chicken fried pork loin stack and a half order of the French toast casserole for good measure. Wow, y’all, every bite hits the spot. On top of that, their bloody Mary shines, and their craft cocktails (all under $10, day and night) are to die for.

Your new brunch favorite: chicken fried pork loin stack with eggs, sausage gravy and toast.

Nova's take on a classic BLT piles high the applewood smoked bacon, greens, fresh tomatoes and ranch style mayo.

Looking for something sweeter? Check out the French toast casserole. Chances are you'll want this with breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Needless to say if you haven’t been to Nova yet, we’re hoping this blog will get you there. This funky favorite is romantic, fun and comfortable, and its space-age decor gives it a cool and playful ambiance. Plus, you can’t beat the drink prices, and the food holds its own in our ever-growing restaurant scene. The staff is warm and familial, always making sure you're having a great time and enjoying your meal. Be sure to ask about their amazing nightly dinner specials!
