The magical season of fall has finally arrived! The joy that comes with pleasant temperatures, boots and sweaters, football, and the best flavors of the year is contagious. If you’re like me, you’ve been dying to throw a cozy scarf around your neck, light a scrumptious candle, and sip a pumpkin spice latte while you bake your first pecan pie of the season. This time of year just elicits happiness.

I recently read a post from BuzzFeed Food that called this “sweater season (aka eating season).” Isn’t that the truth?! Genius. Finally, you can indulge a bit without worrying about that summer bod. And on that note, here are five fall delights you must devour as soon as possible.

1. Scarves and Yoga Pants Cocktail at Eureka!

Oh hey, fall.

Basically an upgrade from a latte, this drinkable cup of autumn will give you a buzz, too. It features homemade pumpkin spice simple syrup and Rittenhouse rye whiskey.

2. Emporium Pies

Could this picture make you feel any cozier?

With flavors like the Drunken Nut (bourbon pecan pie with shortbread crust), Lord of the Pies (deep dish apple pie with cinnamon streusel), and Drop Dead Gorgeous (spicy pumpkin custard with gingerbread crust), you may literally drift away to fall heaven. And if Oak Cliff isn't convenient, remember they have a McKinney location as well.

3. Pumpkin Pie Candy Bar from Kate Weiser Chocolate

Almost too pretty to eat. Almost.

These lovely bars are filled with pumpkin spice ganache, pie crust, and candied walnuts. Yum!

4. Pumpkin Chipotle Cheesecake Shake from Hopdoddy

Whether in Park Cities, Addison, or Uptown, this treat from Hopdoddy isn't far from you.

Just because we live in Texas and will inevitably have random warm days doesn’t mean we can’t still delight in pumpkin goodness. This shake features housemade ice cream, spicy pumpkin butter (yes, that’s a thing), caramel sauce, sea salt, and whipped cream.

5. Cheesecake Jars from Val’s Cheesecakes

Call ahead to ensure they have your favorite flavor. Not surprisingly, jars tend to sell out quickly.

With flavors like apple cobbler, carrot cake, and pumpkin served in these adorable jars, your tummy is sure to be satisfied, and you’re guaranteed a good Instagram shot.

If your anxiety is kicking in now that you must decide where to go first, consider starting out with the cocktail. It’s not even November, so you have plenty of time! What is your favorite fall indulgence in Dallas? Tag us so we don’t miss a single treat!
