Small in appearance but big in flavor, El Come Taco is a popular taqueria. Hidden in a small strip center off Fitzhugh, it doesn't appear to be much from the outside looking in, but once you give it a try you won't be disappointed. This little family owned taco joint is known for authentic (and inexpensive) street tacos, and their menu is sure to please all palates.

Chips and Guac make a great starter

Start your meal with a Topo Chico and some chips and guacamole (don't forget the salsa!) and you'll be on the right track.

Fajita and Pastor Tacos

The street tacos are out of this world.  From pastor to brisket to chorizo, each is enveloped in two warm corn tortillas and topped with onions and cilantro. Meat is tender and well cooked, and there is plenty of variety. If you're looking for something a little different, they're known for the Lengua (tongue) and Sesos (veal brain). Don't skip the add-ons; pico, queso, avocado and sour cream are all under $1.

Jose's and Texas Tacos

The other tacos fall into the more traditional Tex-Mex category.  The Jose's Taco and Texas Taco were our favorites off the list. Jose's Taco is filled with avocado, cheese and refried beans, and topped off with a little of their red or green salsa, it's heavenly! The Texas Taco is for those who love a fajita taco. Choose between pastor, beef or chicken and then top it with cheese, avocado, and fresh jalapenos. If you're heading there for breakfast, try the chorizo and egg combination. Fluffy and savory, these breakfast tacos are perfect for satisfying your morning hunger. Looking for something other than a taco? The Especiales Menu offers everything from tortas to ceviche, and all still ring in under $10.

El Come is the ideal place for a great meal that will also please your wallet. They're even open late on the weekends to satisfy late-night cravings. The next time you're looking for an authentic street taco meal, head to El Come.
