Don’t you love it when a restaurant delivers a dish that is craveable but still light and fresh? I want to be satisfied with each meal, every day. Seriously, sometimes I obsess over making the perfect selection for so long that I get hangry {know the feeling?}. The problem is, while I love indulgent dishes, I also like to watch my figure and keep my health in check. That’s why I love having options that still get me excited but don’t leave me feeling guilty or bloated. Enter Nazca Kitchen.

Specializing in South American cuisine, this eatery believes food is more than nourishment – it’s a reason to celebrate. Totally on board with this, I paid a visit to their airy, comfy, and classy café.

Eppa Sangria has berry and pomegranate flavors but isn’t overly sweet. Bonus -- they serve it with that perfect, crumbly, Sonic-type ice.

Nazca Kitchen also offers several beers and wines, but if you aren’t in the mood for an alcoholic beverage, have no fear. Their extensive drink list features fresh-squeezed juices, fresh colados, and a signature fresh-brewed strawberry green tea. I may stop in for a drink to go one of these hot summer afternoons!

Once you select a refreshing beverage, the food menu will be just as tantalizing and is suited for a variety of appetites. While some options are lighter than others, there are plenty of healthy choices and everything sounds appealing.

Fish Ceviche with fresh Atlantic salmon, red onions, jicama, and aji-mango-lime dressing, garnished with grilled corn, sweet potato and criolla.

Shrimp Tacos were an evening special, served on your choice of tortillas or butter lettuce leaves.

Entraña Steak is marinated {with a sauce so delicious you’ll want to drink it} and served on a bed of fresh spinach, diced tomatoes, and roasted peppers. Pictured with the grilled creamed corn.

A handful of desserts are available, but this one is off the menu for customers who are “in the know.”

Alfajores Cookie and vanilla bean ice cream.

Nazca Kitchen is open daily at 10:30 a.m., serving brunch on Saturdays and Sundays. A great venue for a variety of occasions, it’s a favorite for professionals at lunch, families at dinner, or couples looking for a casually elegant date spot. With the most expensive entree ringing in at $20, your wallet will be happy, too.

Been there and have a craveable favorite? Let us know!
