When you’re looking for a great place for casual patio drinking, look no further than High Fives. Located just off of bustling Henderson Avenue, this new restaurant is easy to spot thanks to its spacious patio that just begs to be enjoyed. And no matter whether you sit inside or outside under the outdoor misters, it’s the perfect place for grabbing drinks with friends this summer.

The patio at High Fives is the perfect place for outdoor sipping when the weather's nice.

When you visit, start by trying one of High Fives signature cocktails. They serve an assortment featuring several different boozy bases, so there’s something on the menu to suit just about any taste. If you’re particularly parched, we recommend The Shorty, a refreshing cocktail featuring vodka, champagne, ginger beer, and fresh strawberry that’s both light and sweet, with just a hint of tartness.

The Shorty is a light and refreshing cocktail that's ideal for summer drinking.

If you’re a tequila drinker, try the Prickly Paloma; it features a generous helping of tequila blended with prickly pear syrup, peach bitters, and fresh grapefruit, and it’s a perfect cocktail for summer sipping. Or try the El Diablo, another tequila-heavy concoction that packs a punch.

The Prickly Paloma is both beautiful and delicious, thanks to a blend of tequila, prickly pear, and tart grapefruit.

The food at High Fives is just as tasty as the drinks. One standout is the Sunday Sandwich, a delicious creation featuring fried chicken garnished with house-recipe aioli and served on a sweet, griddled King’s Hawaiian roll. The combination of sweet and salty flavors really make the dish pop, and it’s great enjoyed as a quick meal or as a shared snack.

Another tasty option is the Chicken Salad Sandwich. High Fives’ chicken salad is smoky, and when paired with pesto aioli and a buttery croissant, it makes for a delicious sandwich. All sandwiches are also served with a small selection of spicy pickled veggies, which provide an unusual – but very tasty – complement to the dish. You can always order from a variety of sides to go with your meal, but if you’re also drinking, even just a sandwich can be surprisingly filling.

High Fives is already becoming a popular spot, and it’s not unusual to see a packed patio when passing by on the weekend. We definitely recommend planning some time for parking, whether you’re searching for a spot or utilizing their valet lot next door. But if you plan your trip for a weekend, make time to relax; it’s definitely a great place for passing the time with good friends, good food, and great drinks.
