With locations opening in the blink of an eye, Austin import Hopdoddy Burger Bar is taking over Dallas. This week Hopdoddy opened a third DFW location in Addison off of Dallas North Tollway and Belt Line Road. With the arrival of their new spot we thought we would highlight the many reasons we love this popular burger spot.

Hopdoddy's Newest Location in Addison

The ordering process at Hopdoddy Burger Bar is very efficient. Queue up to order at the counter and at the same time be assigned a place to sit - in order to not be left hanging with food but no table. Once seated, you'll receive full service for drink refills and anything else you may need. Hopdoddy’s staff is always very attentive and helpful throughout the process. The atmosphere is also a plus as it tends to be a very lively setting filled with people, burgers, and great drinks! Hopdoddy Burger Bar goes above and beyond with their ingredients, using only the highest quality proteins, produce, cheese and daily fresh baked buns.

Magic Shroom Burger

Hopdoddy offers everything from a classic burger to burgers with a twist. We wanted to step outside of the traditional burger choice and went with the Magic Shroom; angus beef, Texas goat cheese, field mushrooms, mayo and basil pesto. This burger is absolute perfection (my mouth is watering just thinking about it!) Other creative burgers to try are the Llano Poblano, El Diablo, and the Primetime.

Thunderbird Burger

Besides their specialty beef burgers, Hopdoddy also offers other types of patties. Find choices like the Ahi Tuna Burger or the Buffalo Bill - featuring a Bison burger. If you’re leaning more towards the white meat side you can’t go wrong with the Thunderbird. A chicken patty topped with Tillamook pepper jack, apple-smoked bacon, avocado, seared poblanos, pica de gallo, and chipotle mayo. The Greek, Continental Club, and vegetarian friendly La Bandita are other excellent choices.

Truffle Fries

The burgers aren’t just the highlight of this meal though. Hopdoddy’s Truffle Fries are absolutely delicious. These are great on their own or dipped in a side of their Chile con Queso or Green Chili Queso.

Nutella and Chocolate Pretzel Shake

What goes perfectly with fries and a burger you ask? A milkshake of course! We tried the Nutella and Chocolate Pretzel shake but with options such as Red Velvet Cake, Caramel and Sea Salt and Chocolate Stout, it may be a difficult decision. If you’re looking to spice it up, go ahead and make it an adult shake!

Kaboomtown Tea

End your meal on a happy note with one of Hopdoddy's cocktails. The Kaboomtown Tea (also known as the Uptown Tea) is the perfect amount of sweet with house infused Lemoncello, Deep Eddy Sweet Tea Vodka, raspberry puree, and fresh-squeezed lemon juice. If you're looking for something from the beer menu don't worry; they feature over a dozen Texas craft beer selections.

If you haven't experienced Hopdoddy Burger Bar yet, we suggest making your way out to Addison to visit their newest location. Or if you are in the Park Cities area or Uptown there's neighborhood Hopdoddys near you. And the best tip we can give you before you check out Hopdoddy for yourself is to arrive with an empty stomach, and a mindset ready to feast!
