Oh how excited we are that Lower Greenville has once again blossomed over the past couple of years! One of our favorite additions to this happening area is Nora Restaurant and Bar, featuring Afghan cuisine. The restaurant opened in 2012, with the rooftop unveiling in late 2013. There are so many things to love about this chic, relaxing, and exotic spot. Let’s start with the rooftop.

Nora’s rooftop has an almost resort-style feel. If it wasn’t for the food downstairs, we’d have camped out here all night. Start by sipping on a unique cocktail {Kabul Mule, anyone?} and enjoy the sun setting over Downtown Dallas.

You can also order small plates on the rooftop, so you may want to get the feast started while you have this lovely view.

Once you’ve soaked up the sunset, head down to the chic dining room and prepare for a flavorful meal.

The ambiance is top notch on the inside as well.

Qabili Palao is a signature dish consisting of saffron rice, sautéed sweet carrots, raisins, and your choice of seasoned lamb or chicken. Pictured here is the lamb option. It was absolutely delicious. The flavor is exotic but not overbearing.

From the grill, the Lamb Kabob was perfectly seasoned and not overcooked. The saffron rice served as a perfect complement to the meat. Don’t ignore the yogurt sauce – we asked for extra!

Remember that rooftop? Definitely head back upstairs for an after dinner drink, because the nighttime view is stunning, and their DJ plays great tunes.

Yes, that is a firepit in the bottom left. Thumbs up!

If you’re looking for a new happy hour spot, Nora offers $2 off cocktails, $5 off select wines, and $4 beers on Sunday through Friday from 5:00pm to 7:00pm in the bar and on the patio. Lunch is available on Sundays from 11:00am to 3:00pm, so add it to your brunch list. If you have a special occasion coming up, they also have a private room next to the main dining room.

Between happy hour, brunch, rooftop cocktails, private dining, and great food, Nora has a lot to offer. Try it out for any occasion and let us know what you think!
