Until now, the only way to enjoy Oak Cliff Roasters Coffee was to grab a cup at one of the many local restaurants and coffee houses who serve coffee made from this premier roastery or buy the beans directly from retail outlets like Whole Foods. I stopped in to enjoy a cup at the new espresso and retail gallery called Davis Street Espresso, which actually connects to the roastery.

The interior of the shop is spacious and cozy at the same time. You can snuggle up to the bar with a latte and a magazine or enjoy a cup at one of the booths with a friend. Just leave the ipad behind as there is no wifi-just good conversation with neighbors or a peaceful pause.

Offerings include espresso drinks such as lattes and cappucinos as well as their delicious black coffee and cold brews. You can also find a limited amount of pastries, croissants and donuts from the local-owned Rush Patisserie and Vera's Bakery. One last tip: plan to savor the delicious brew in house as there is no coffee to-go. That's a good thing.
