Cafe Izmir has been providing Greenville Avenue with fresh, home-made Mediterranean fare for 20 years. All it takes is one visit to realize why their longevity is lasting. The cozy, casual environment lends itself to intimate conversation over fantastic old world cuisine that is guaranteed to delight. Plus, the staff is so friendly and attentive, you’ll feel like a regular immediately.

You’re going to want to try everything, so you may as well start with an appetizer. A good choice is the sampler, where you get fresh baked pita with three options from the menu. We tried the hummus, couscous and eegra (grilled eggplant with minced tomatoes, onions and spices.) Each one brings great texture to unique flavors.

Cafe Izmir's smooth and tangy hummus is some of the best in the DFW.

Our waiter was genuinely personable and extremely helpful—he suggested the saffron chicken and beef tenderloin, and we gladly tried both. The meats were flawless in every way: tasty, tender and juicy. The tenderloin was some of the best we've had (and at a great price.)

Beef tenderloin so tender you can cut it with a fork.

The saffron-infused chicken is grilled to perfection.

Looking for vegetarian options? You’ve found the right place. A good portion of the menu is devoted to grilled veggies, falafel, dolmas and more. Dive into some Turkish coffee and baklava for a sweet and savory ending.

Colorful and casual interior at the Greenville location.

This Dallas staple proves to be a favorite time and time again, and with good reason. If you’re wanting an authentic experience of Persian spices and Mediterranean cuisine, let Cafe Izmir take you there.

Check out their daily specials online to find out when they have half priced wine, live music, complimentary valet and more offers.
