During the hustle and bustle of the workweek, lunch can be an easy meal to overlook. But with a lengthy menu full of delicious dishes and rotating specials, The Porch proves to be the perfect place for savoring your lunch break on any day.

Although plenty of restaurants tend to feature watered-down versions of their typical menus during lunch, The Porch’s lunch menu is anything but. It’s packed with a collection of their most popular dishes, and enhanced with additional rotating daily specials dreamed up by the chef. Whether you’re dining with colleagues or simply grabbing a quick meal with friends, there’s an option to fit every taste and preference. Even better, the lunch menu also features a variety of signature cocktails sure to brighten up your afternoon.

The beauty of the Porch’s menu lies within its versatility; they serve a collection of dishes in sizes that will satisfy any appetite. For example, their Jalapeno Corn Bread, which comes served with a helping of sweet honey butter, is the perfect size for snacking or sharing as an appetizer.

Similarly, their selection of salads provides the perfect opportunity for diners seeking a lighter lunch. If you’re trying to be healthy, order the Roasted Chicken and Buckler’s Hydro Greens, which features crisp greens topped with green apple, candied pecan, onion, blue cheese, and honey sherry vinaigrette.

If you’re craving a salad that packs a punch, order the Buttermilk Fried Chicken Cobb; it comes dressed with all the traditional fixings of a Cobb salad, but topped with crispy fried chicken that adds a savory, Southern flair. It may not be as “good” for you as some of the other salads on the menu, but trust us when we say that it’s tasty enough to justify taking a break from your diet.

For something more filling, try the House Smoked Brisket Sliders. Although they’re labeled as an appetizer, they provide the perfect portion for a light lunch, thanks to a serving of three sizable brisket sliders served alongside a heaping portion of tangy, fermented slaw. For best results, pair these with a cocktail – we recommend the Strawberry Crush – and make your lunch that much more enjoyable.

Don’t forget about dessert; The Porch features a few options guaranteed to end your meal on a high note. We recommend the Gooey Butter Cake, which comes topped with butterscotch ice cream for a melt-in-your-mouth treat that will satisfy any sweet tooth.

The Porch opens for lunch at 11:00 am Monday through Saturday, and at 10:30 for brunch on Sundays. It tends to get busy, even on weekdays, so we definitely suggest getting there early to snag a table. Parking can be tricky as well, so save yourself some time and plan ahead to valet in the convenient lot right behind the restaurant. Whether you visit alone, with friends, or with an assortment of your best business colleagues, it’s the perfect place for breaking away from the monotony of the day.
