It can be hard to find a bar in Dallas that feels hidden and trendy that also serves good food. Look no further than The Woolworth in downtown Dallas, where the laid back atmosphere and eclectic menu will impress your friends and leave you feeling like you stumbled upon a secret.

Located on the second floor above Campisis, merely finding the entrance on the side and walking up the stairs makes the place feel exciting and surreptitious. As you enter the restaurant, you are greeted by a friendly hostess who will seat you at one of the high tables overlooking the infamous eyeball sculpture of downtown. Or feel free to grab a spot at the expansive bar with plenty of seating and TVs mounted over rows of premier alcohol.

Green Thumb, Old Fashion-ed Vanilla, and Mule Kick Cocktails

The cocktail list is reason enough to stop by this funky establishment. Their signature Smoke and Spice is made with tequila, jalapeno and cumin infused simple syrup, and lime and comes to your table literally smoking. The Green Thumb has cucumber, basil, cracked pepper, gin, and soda for a uniquely refreshing drink.

The menu is very eclectic with no real theme, but for being such a random menu, the food is surprisingly good. We recommend sharing a few of the small plates with your table while you enjoy that distinctive cocktail. Two of our favorites were the Philly Cheese Egg Roll and the Polpetta.

Ahi Tuna Wontons with cajun spices, wasabi, and mango salsa

Caprese Lollipops with cherry tomatoes and mozzerella balls drizzled with thick balsamic reduction

Spanish Mac 'n Cheese with chorizo, poblana rojas, and raditori pasta

Philly Cheese Egg Roll with crispy exterior and "korean bbq" marinated beef on the inside

Polpetta with three large meatballs coated in stringy provolone cheese and marinara sauce

Chicken Quesadillas with smoked gouda and pecan smoked bacon

The Woolworth serves lunch and dinner during the week, lunch on Saturday, and brunch on Sunday. It would be a great place to take a date or a small group of friends and enjoy the trendy vibe of downtown in a setting that feels special and unfamiliar.
