There's a new kitchen in town and it's blazing a trail for healthy, wholesome, innovative and delicious! The menu at True Food Kitchen is based on the anti-inflammatory diet and designed to give your body healthy nutriments in a tasty way. You will find all the popular healthy foods and superfoods like Quinoa, Kale, and Butternut Squash presented in a eye-pleasing and delicious way via appetizers, drinks, soups, desserts and even cocktails!

The interior of the restaurant is casual and serene and feels like nature itself-light browns, leafy greens and accents of citrus yellow. Floor to ceiling windows give a full view of the  colorful patio. Full table service here with a bar to the open kitchen and communal tables as "first come, first serve" seating.

Edamame Dumplings with Daikon Radish and White Truffle Oil

Carmelized Onion Tart with Smoked Garlic, Black Fig and Gorgonzola

Tuna Sliders with Tuscan Kale Salad and Sweet Potatoes

Tuscan Kale Salad with Lemon, Parmesan, Bread Crumbs-Added Grilled Chicken

Roasted Chicken with Butternut Squash, Spinach, Farro, Feta & Cannellini Bean Puree

Butternut Squash Pizza with Walnut, Smoked Mozzerella, Sweet Onion & Arugula

There is not too much of a difference between the lunch menu and the dinner menu at this writing. The lunch menu has the addition of Tuna Sliders and the dinner menu has three additional entree items-Grass Fed NY Steak, Roasted Redfish and Miso Glazed Black Cod. There's a great selection of salads (where you can add grilled chicken for $5 or steelhead salmon for $10), appetizers (try the Edamame Dumplings and Carmelized Onion Tart), sandwiches and entrees. The menu notes items that are vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free, and although there are several gluten-fee options, this is not a completely gluten-free kitchen.

There's a refreshing specialty cocktail list to choose from including a Cucumber Martini and a Green Grape Acai Mojito that infuse fruits and natural juices into the blends. Try a Chocolate Flourless Cake or Squash Pie (tastes similar to Pumpkin Pie) to end your meal or just as an accompaniment to an espresso drink for an afternoon pick-me-up. If you visit on Saturday or Sunday from 10am-4pm you also have some brunch choices like the Quinoa Johnny Cakes or Chicken Sausage Scramble in addition to the lunch menu. Whether it's brunch, lunch, dinner or coffee and dessert we know you will love True Food Kitchen as much as we did. Plan on a wait on weekends and prime dining hours as many Dallasites are discovering this gem and making recurring visits as we did!
