Did you know The Standard Pour offers a free three-course dinner to unescorted ladies with reservations on Wednesday nights? The Dame's Dinner Club, as it's known, is a fun way to spend an evening with the girls at this trendy spot known to impress their Uptown guests with a unique menu and classic cocktails. Whether you're sitting outside on the McKinney Avenue facing patio, or inside the dimly lighted dining room, The Standard Pour is the place to be.

Moscow Mule

The Dame's Dinner offers female guests a set three-course menu, complete with their complimentary Sangria Starter. Cocktails are offered at special prices and there are several to choose from, such as the Cucumber Gin Smash or the For Rich or Pour. We went with what the Standard Pour does best; a Moscow Mule. There's something about that copper tin mug that keeps us wanting more!

Mixed Baby Lettuce

The first course options were the Mixed Baby Lettuce Salad or the Mushroom Soup. The salad was a fresh mix of baby lettuce, strawberries, goat cheese, and mixed nuts tossed in champagne vinaigrette. The Mushroom Soup was velvety smooth and full-bodied.

Pappardelle Pasta

TX Striped Bass

Our second course options were the Pappardelle Pasta or the TX Striped Bass. The pasta dish consisted of thick papparadelle noodles, crushed tomatoes, chili flakes, basil, garlic and breadcrumbs. The bass was fresh and flavorful and was complemented with leeks, grapefruit, herbed farro, and salsa verde.

Grumpy Craig's Ice Cream

The real winner of the Dame's Dinner was the dessert. This evening's selection was Grumpy Craig's Ice Cream. We'd like to thank whoever Grumpy Craig is for this delicious creation. The ice cream had biscoff, sorghum granola, and a generous spread of peanut butter in the bowl.

The Dame's Dinner is a great time to visit The Standard Pour but definitely not the only time. Go for a cocktail and small bites during the week day happy hour, nosh on Doozies and Bloody Marys at Sunday brunch, or snack on Fried Chicken from their late night menu from 11pm-2am.
