Leta’s Steak Salad with Smoked Tenderloin
Horseshoe Hill Café only serves the freshest of ingredients. To quote Grady Spears, “We have no cans and no microwaves” inside the kitchen. Everything is made in house from the crackers to the bread and is served in a rustic fashion.
Pan De Campo with Candied Bacon and Greens
Take a glance at the menu and you’ll notice it is classic and upscale cowboy cuisine. The menu is refreshed monthly with smaller changes being made as needed, and the jams and fried pies are switched out on a daily basis. Don’t worry though, Spears continues to grace us with his legendary Chicken Fried Steaks (served in many different formats) as well as a few of his other signature dishes.
Chicken Fried Steak The Farmers Way with Chili Gravy and a Fried Egg
Lunchtime is a casual event, with food being ordered at the counter. Dinner takes on a more sophisticated air with table service. Also, be sure to pay attention to who is serving you, as it may be Grady Spears himself. Being kind, modest, and unassuming, he takes being the owner seriously, involving himself in every layer of the operation.
Horseshoe Hill Café is open from 11 - 9PM Wednesdays and Thursdays and 11 - 10PM Fridays and Saturdays. In keeping with the casual environment, you can only grab reservations for six or more, so be prepared to wait in some cases. Grab your cowboy boots, tuck in your long-sleeved shirt and head on over for some cowboy cuisine at this fine Fort Worth establishment.
