Beer Market Co Kitchen & Bar

You may think that Beer Market Co. is a beer shop as you pass it by, but if you actually stop in, you’ll find that looks can be deceiving. It’s a beer heaven for die-hard beer fans. Some may mistake it as an average bar but Beer Market Co. is exactly its name: a beer market. Located in The Shops at Memorial Heights, Beer Market Co. opened in early 2014, bringing an assortment of craft beer to this neighborhood.

With an identity of a sports bar, Beer Market Co. is definitely a place for game watching with over 10 televisions highlighting games and sports news. If you’re a smoker or enjoy outside dining, the dog-friendly patio wraps around the outside, equipped with heaters for those cold nights and fans for the hot days. Beer Market Co. offers daily food and drink specials including $3 Texas Craft draft beers, $2 taco night, $0.50 wing night, reverse happy hour and steak night.

Inside Beer Market Co.

Beer Market Co. has 24 beers on tap, ranging from local Texas brews (8th Wonder, Shiner, Karbach, Buffalo Bayou, Saint Arnold) to main stream delights (Bud Light, Dos XX, Stella Artois, Miller Lite). And if that doesn’t get you hoppy, the bar has a beer vault that offers more than 80 beers from around the world. The beer vault features over 15 beers from Texas, over 30 from around the country, and more beers from Belgium, Czech Republic, Japan and many other countries. Also featured in the beer vault are their Beer Bombers, which are meant to be shared with a group.

Brew Pretzels and Real Ale "Hans Pils" Cheese Dip

Not to be outdone by the beer selection, the food available at Beer Market Co. is a spin on typical bar food and snacks. Take the Brew Pretzels and Real Ale “Hans Pils” Cheese Dip for example. This snack is not your average pretzel and cheese dip. The cheese is the star of this snack, made with cheddar and mixed with Hans Pils and roasted garlic. If fried goodness is what you’re looking for, try the Crispy Beer Battered Pickles/Jalapenos/Onion Strings Mix or the quirky Fried Mac ‘N Cheese Balls. Beer Market Co. also has salads (Couscous Mediterranean Chicken Salad – grilled chicken served on a bed of romaine lettuce with cucumbers, couscous, Kalamata olives, and feta cheese topped with an olive oil lemon dressing), burgers and sandwiches (Mac ‘N Cheese Burger – a burger dressed with a layer of Mac ‘N Cheese and bacon), and tacos (“Gulden Draak” Beer Chicken Tacos – grilled chicken and slaw made with Gulden Draak topped with cilantro lime crème fraiche sauce served in a warm flour tortilla).

It’s worth a mention that their brunch menu can compete with your favorite brunch spot. The menu has brunch favorites such as the Chicken Waffles and the Smoked Salmon Bagel. Two things they have that you won’t see on an average brunch menu are the Waffle S’mores; waffles served with Hershey chocolate and topped with marshmallows, and the Short Rib Eggs Benedict; Beer Market Co.’s version of the popular dish made with short rib.

Whether you’re a newbie to beer, a seasoned beer connoisseur, or just someone who likes to enjoy a cold one during patio weather, Beer Market Co. will be waiting to take you on a trip around the world with their beer.
